The creme-de-la-creme of Necklaces! Using heart-shaped glass, bird-shaped glass and other elements representing love, we will create a one-of-a-kind necklace that reflects the love we have for our family, our spouse, friends, even our kitty-cat! Each student will create special artwork to put within the glass elements as well as some unique attachments of found objects and ephemera. We will solder the individual pieces and assemble it all together. Our necklace will certainly be a show-stopper and will always represent to us its theme of love and how it was created...made with love. Glass and some extras included.

Soldering For Virgins - Special Supplies:
1.) Artwork to put between the glass (for both the front & back) in assorted small sizes as follows:
1" x 1" square, 3/4" x 1" rectangle, 1/2" x 1" rectangle, and a few round that range from 1/2" to 1". Extra artwork is always a good idea. (if you do not have pre-made artwork, we will just use plain paper or some papers I have since this is a soldering-technique class, not a project class).
2.) A few dimensional objects such as a crystal, scrabble letter, marble, etc.
*IMPORTANT - do not use glossy or satin finish images as they will distort under the glass*
3.) A base-metal bracelet is included, but you may upgrade to a sterling silver 8" toggle bracelet for $50 during class.

The Love Bird Necklace - Special Supplies:
1) Miscellaneous Found/Dimensional Objects such as a chandelier crystals, heart-shaped stones,
broken rhinestone jewelry, marbles, broken china, ribbon, etc.

small shoe box with miscellaneous papers and images (as well as found objects-see below) - be sure to include
sepia/neutral tones as well as colors. Papers with texture are good, too.

materials you like to use in collage. I will have some to share, too.
4) Heat gun (if you have one).
